In order to avoid stress situations and higher security we would like to recommend you to follow some advice required for preservation of your property and personal security.
The majority of recommendations are those which you follow at home, but in the new environment surrounding you they perhaps acquire a new sense.
Climate: The climate of the Central Asia is distinguished with cold winter and very hot and arid summer. The travelers may face the daytime high temperatures and considerable temperature decrease in night. Temperature fluctuations are from+20 to +35 by day and from+15 to +20 in the night time.
Clothes: Light and spacious clothes (preferentially of cotton and natural cloths) for daytime and a sweater or a jacket for cooler evenings shall be recommended. Due to the fact that a majority of excursions provides for lasting walks across dry, dusty and uneven locality ( sometimes over dirty and stone road) convenient walking thickened sole footwear shall be recommended. While visiting some religious places and private houses perhaps you will have to unshoe. Special clothes requirements are not made in order to visit cult establishments, but we recommend the clothes covering the body’s major part including the arms and legs.
All travelers are recommended to comfort considerations rather than fashion. It’s desirable not to have valuable jewelries and expensive things which will require special care in relation to preservation. Your clothes should reliably protect you against the sun due to high activity of solar rays.

Health: The locality where you’ll be traveling lacks mainly infectious diseases. There are no any official recommendations in relation to vaccination for entrants.
The water in the Central Asia contains a large quantity of minerals and metal containing salts. In this regard it’ s practically impossible to avoid small problems with digestion. You are kindly asked to consult the doctor and pharmacist as for this matter.
It’s important to prevent the organism dewatering. We recommend to constantly have the alcohol free liquid reserve.
Perhaps, you will need the preparations protecting against the main infectious diseases, cold tablets, aspirin, sticking-plaster, antiseptic means and antiseptic unguent, stomach preparations.
You are kindly asked to inform in advance of any allergic diseases or special recommendations on meals which may require special attention during the travel.
You are asked to have all necessary medicines which you may need during the travel in your hand luggage in the event if at the moment there is no any access to your main luggage.
Security: There are no strongboxes for keeping values at the hotels (except for some ones). The most acceptable way out is to have the purse with money under the clothes. The documents (money, traveler’s cheques, air tickets, visa, passport etc.) shall be constantly upon you. Although the possibility to be a subject of physical attack is unlikely to you, pocket-pickings may occur in populous places. It’s necessary to take all precautions in order to avoid the loss of any values owned by you.
In accordance with the local laws you will have to produce the passport for registration when the hotel accommodation. Your passport will be returned to you some hours later. Do not forget to pick up the passport an the registration slip at the porter service before leaving the hotel.
Currency: National currency of the Republic of Uzbekistan is SUM. The travelers are recommended to have available (in US Dollars) the notes of small denomination. New notes with precise inscriptions are of priority as the use of old notes is connected with possible difficulties when the payment and exchange. It’s desirable to have dollar notes not early than 1990 as the bank notes of earlier dating are not accepted for payment and exchange.
There are no exchange offices in Uzbekistan. There is the bank and bazaar rate of currency acceptance, the actual difference is not considerable. Hen the currency exchange in order to avoid troubles we recommend to seek the help only of driver-guide or the representatives of hosting firm who will always help to solve that problem.
Languages: In the Central Asia they speak several languages the majority of which relates to the Turkic group, except for Tadjic language belonging to the group of Farsi language.
Photography: There are no any problems with photography at the historical sites in the Central Asia. Photography inside some religious objects, as well airports, railway stations and close to military sites may be forbidden.

We also ask to take into account that taking pictures may be charged at the majority of visiting sites (it is not included in the tour value).
Film and camera piles may be acquired in large cities, but we recommend to but the quantity you need in advance, especially if your camera is the newest modification or your camera requires a certain type of film and/or pile.
Voltage: The network voltage is 220/230 watts (alternate current), 50 volts. Sockets have two connectors characteristic to the continental Europe. The adapters thereto are not always available, that’s why we recommend to have an adapter about yourself.
Food: Vegetables, different kinds of meat, macaroni items and rice prevail in the Uzbek cuisine. The food is saturated with fat (cholesterol). That’s why if you keep a certain diet, you are kindly asked to inform us of that in advance.
Drinks: The local mineral water has higher contents of minerals and salts than spring and potable water produced in the West. In this regard the water has a brackish taste (that mineral water is considered more useful fir the health than the water of European production).
Buys Those who travel across the Central Asia will be pleasantly surprised with the diversity of adornments, clothes and items of local masters. Books, maps, cars are also popular as souvenirs. There are restrictions for carpet withdrawal. You may get informed of the same from your guide before making a buy.
Hotel services: The value of hotel services not included in the tour value such as: telephone talks, room-service, use of mini-bar in your room and washing of personal clothes shall be separately paid by you. Before leaving each hotel of the tour you are kindly asked to check with the hotel porter the payment of additional services, perhaps included in your invoice.
Tips: Travelers may wish to express their thanks for services provided to luggage porters, waiters, drivers, accompanying persons and guides. The gratitude amount depends on your appraisal of service. Our policy is to provide you the with the possibility to individually solve that. Usually enveloped tips are handed upon completion of service.

General note: We remind you that for the convenience of all those who travel with you smoking is not allowed during the motor moves. You are kindly asked to be punctual within the entire tour in order to avoid the influence of delays on the program performance.

***Do not drink tapped water, buy bottled water.
***Do not eat fruit/vegetables bought at the bazaar without preliminary treatment.
***Don’t forget the necessity to drink a sufficient quantity of liquid, especially in desert and highland (at least daily 2 liters of water/tea).
***In the event of stomach problems drink strong black tea/coca-cola in large quantities. Abstain from eating and please immediately inform your guide. |
