Day 1: Arrival in Moscow. Departure for Irkutsk where you will start your trip.
Day 2: Arrival in Irkutsk. Accommodation is at the hotel Irkutsk 3*. The city sight-seeing tour. Lunch is at a restaurant (typical Siberian food). Irkutsk, is one of the most ancient cities in Siberia, and there are a lot of important places to visit: white stone churches built in the style of Siberian Baroque; the typical houses built in carved wood, the Museum of Fine Arts and the Ethnographic one. You will learn the history and culture of the city. Dinner.
Day 3: Breakfast. A 200-km-drive to the National Park of Tunkinskiya. On the route you will get the information about the places you are going to visit. A trip to the village of Arscian where is a bathing center famous for its mineral springs. In the language of Buriata it means “Curative Water”. The pure air of the mountains, the bright sun, and mineral water are the best for your recreation. Lunch. There is a Buddhist Temple not far from the springs, so you will simply walk there. Accommodation is at the rural houses in the park.
Day 4: Breakfast. A 10-km-climb to the Peak of Love (2.040 m). You will have a picnic there. On the route you will see a beautiful lake and you will go through the Siberian forest “Taiga”. There are mostly birch-trees and tall pines. In the evening you will go back to the village and have a dinner at a rural hotel (double rooms accommodation). You can visit the Traditional Russian Bath there.
Day 5: Breakfast. A 110-km-bus drive to the village of Nilov-Pustin. There are warm springs and a Buddhist Temple. A picnic is on the temple’s territory. A drive to the town of Sliudianka. Accommodation is at the rural house situated inside the Park Museum of Minerals. The Russian bath. Dinner
Day 6: Breakfast. A visit to the Museum of Minerals. The collection of the museum numbers 10.000 samples. A visit to a Park where most of the meniral are found. There are still some geological excavations. There you will get the information about this territory. Lunch is on the beach of Shamanskaja on the banks of the lake Baikal. There you will relax and admire marvelous landscapes. Dinner is at the rural house at the Museum’s territory.
Day 7: Breakfast. A 12-km-journey to the valley of Mines (open-air) where you can see the extraction of a mineral. Lunch is on the route. In the afternoon you will encamp in the valley (2-person tents). Dinner is round the fire.
Day 8: Breakfast. A 10-km-pedestrian walk to the peak of Ticherskiy. You will along the banks of the river Kingherghi and pass beautiful waterfalls and picturesque landscapes. There is a gorgeous waterfall situated in a narrow stone. Its height is about 6 m. There is a wooden bridge that you will go over on your way to the second waterfall. When you are at the place you shall encamp (2-person tents). Lunch. You can go bathing into the warm mineral water. Dinner is at the camp.
Day 9: Breakfast. Departure for Sliudianka (a long walk around 12 km). You will stop for a picnic. In the afternoon you will be accommodated at therural hotel of the Museum of Minerals where you will have the Russian bath and dinner.
Day 10: Breakfast. A 38-km-bus drive to the village of Baikalsk. Lunch. You will sail along the Lake Baikal to an old railway station (the first in the region). The station was built in the 18th century and trains go around the Lake Baikal. In the evening you will encamp (2-person tents). Dinner.
Day 11: Breakfast. A boat sailing to the town of Listvianka where you will visit the Museum of the lake Baikal and learn everything about it. You wil have a lunch at a restaurant. You will see the typical Siberian architecture and monuments made of the millennial trees wood. Finally you will visit the Museum of Wood. In the evening you will drive to the city of Irkutsk (58 km) where you will be accommodated at the hotel Irkutsk 3* (double rooms). Dinner.
Day 12: Breakfast. Transfer to the airport. Departure for Moscow (4 hours and 45 minute-flight). You will be accommodated at the hotel Izmailovo 3* (double rooms). Free time.
Day 13: Breakfast. A visit to the Red Square and the church of St. Vasilyi, you will visit the mausoleum of Lenin and walk along the famous street Arbat where you will have a lunch at a typical restaurant. After lunch you will step over the 0-km of the capital city (an excursion with a guide). You will see the Bolshoi Theatre and visit the famous department store “GUM”.
Day 14: Breakfast. Transfer to the airport. Departure. |
