Aimed for teaching people basics of snow kiting from the very beginning.
Kiting is rather young kind of sport and active leisure. With the help of a tow-rope you can easily subdue the space of the frozen lakes and climb mountain tops. The medium velocity is 40-50 km/h, the maximum is more than 108 km/h. To do this sport in winter you need to find large open spaces without any obstacles. And also the wind shout blow at 3 m/s. All of these things you may find in the town of Manchegorsk which is situated beyond the Polar Circle in the middle of the Kole Peninsula. The town is surrounded with the picturesque lakes. The biggest one is Imandra. This is the place where the traditional annual international festival of the Winter Wind and Sails (Imandra Project) is held. Normally the event takes place in the latter half of April. During this festival all the participants subdue the 100km-distance and win the sympathy of the jury and spectators. The participants have to show their knowledge in free style.
Day 1
Meeting at the airport Murmansk flight number 555 (“Sheremetievo” Moscow 13.05) at 15 25. Transfer to the Manchegor town.
Accomodation at the hotel “Metallurg”.
Dinner.
Day 2
Breakfast. Transfer to the lake Imandra. Snow-kiting lesson №1 (3 hours). Lunch. Snow-kiting lesson №2 (3 hours). Transfer to the hotel. Dinner.
Day 3
Breakfast. Transfer to the lake Imandra. Snow-kiting lesson №3 (3 hours). Lunch. Snow-kiting lesson №4 (3 hours). Transfer to the hotel. Dinner.
Day 4
Breakfast. Visiting the museum. Transfer to the airport. Flight number 556 at 16.30 “Sheremetievo” Moscow (18.50). |
