You are offered to get to know the lifestyle of indigenous people in North West Russia in winter. This tour is all about exploring the Nenets reindeer-herding traditions and herders' life conditions.

Detailed Itinerary of the tour itself to Karyepolye:
Archangel – Sovpolye. Departure from a hotel or airport in Archangel at 09:00 by car. 6-7 hour drive stopping at:
Belogorye. A short stop at a local cafй for some rest.
Pinega rise. A short stop before driving up Pinega Upland. Here the road goes uphill.
Pinega, an old settlement. A short stop for having a rest.
Sovpolye, final stop of the driving itinerary. Lunch. Preparing for travelling by snowmobiles. This part of the itinerary includes interesting natural landscapes. The road goes along the River Northern Dvina, then along the River Pinega. The final destination will be the River Kuloy.
Sovpolye – Karyepolye. From here the journey continues by snowmobiles (provided). The distance is 50 km along the picturesque forest and the River Kuloy. In the evening dinner is served and Russian banya (bath) is available.
Day 2 (snowmobiling):
Kariepolye – the winter camp of reindeer herders. The whole day is spent in the Nenets camp. There you can have a glimpse of Kanin Peninsula reindeer herders’ everyday living, housing, household chores, get acquainted with families. After lunch demonstration of a reindeer-sleigh race will be held. You will also have an opportunity to ride in a reindeer sleigh. Dinner.
Day 3 (snowmobiling):
Kariepolye – a reindeer herd. You will have a one day visit to a reindeer herd. You can get acquainted with traditional reindeer breeding and herding during the winter time, meet the Nenets herders and find more about their winter clothes and riding in reindeer sleighs. Dinner.
Day 4 (snowmobiling, minivan):
Kariepolye – Sovpolye – Archangel. You return to Archangel (the airport or railway station).
