The State Hermitage Museum

The State Hermitage Museum is a museum of art in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The Hermitage is the largest public museum in Russia and home to one of the greatest art collections in the world.

The Cruiser "Aurora" and the Icebreaker "Krasin"

Travel back in time by stepping on board the memorial ship Aurora, which played an important role in the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917. The cruiser Aurora was built between 1897 and 1900 by the "New Admiralty" in St. Petersburg and joined Russia's Baltic fleet in 1903.

Spit of Vasilievsky Island

St. Petersburg is situated on the islands, the largest of which is Vasilievsky Island. Its area is about 1,050 hectares. In the first decades of the 18th century such buildings as Twelve Collegia, the main building of the Academy of Sciences, the Kunstkamera, one of the most remarkable museums in St. Petersburg were erected.

Peterhof is an immensely luxurious and beautifully preserved Imperial estate, founded in 1710 by Peter the Great on the shore of the Gulf of Finland (Baltic Sea). It combines several ornate palaces, a number of beautifully landscaped parks and a dazzling array of magnificent statues and fountains, lending it the epithet "The Russian Versailles".
